Notice the horns. I suppose, perhaps, it's a hidden message. Spiritual people don't bother me, but most organized religions do. Something about how willing to commit sins they are bothers me. Not to mention the hypocrisy is just disgusting. Hell, one of the new sins is excessive wealth... THEY OWN A GOD DAMN CITY! Yeah, that's not excessive at all.

I'm glad you like him though :)

Oh, and the whole anti gay thing bothers me. Of all the things you can waste your time giving a shit about, gays are not one of them.

(Forgive my rant here)

Why do stupid people feel the need to embrace structural religion? I mean if you want to believe in something shouldn't you just believe in it for yourself rather than seeking confirmation through a book, church et cetera, I don't mean to dump on peoples religions, but I'm going to anyway. Why can't people just believe what they want to themselves and their families and leave everyone else the fuck out of it?

It is, in essence, human to belong to groups which speak of things we agree with. We're social animals and without one will eventually become very feral, even if the things we believe in while in groups cannot be considered much higher than archaic. The caveman had the witch doctor or the medicine man who spoke of the Gods, who would ease the coming of death with the knowledge that there was something else. Nothing has changed. Religion is important because we need to feel important, as though we as humans matter. We don't.

Religion, especially structured and organized, is important to people because we are still the frightened caveman who hears the thunder and can't figure out what it is. Religion is important because without it we realize that humans are pathetic little animals who did a great thing: they evolved beyond their means.

What's wrong with being animals? I believe in religion, but the need for society's acceptance has even influenced something as serious as that.

It's, weak and, if you don't my saying so, fairly pathetic.
